Can I have a wood stove in a single story extension where there is no chimney?

We get asked this question a lot, and the simple answer is YES you can!
This customer has had a lovely single story extension built onto their house, near Norwich in Norfolk.
The extension has no chimney, so we installed a Schiedel twin wall chimney system in matt black all the way down to the top of the wood stove, which sat on a bespoke 20mm slate hearth.
The wood burner chosen for the job was the Di Lusso, R4 made by Hunter stoves who are based in Devon, UK. The reason this stove was chosen was because of the style, shape and heat output, and because of it's very small distance to combustibles at the rear of only 50mm.
It looks stunning and provides a valuable source of heat in a time when oil prices are shooting up, and there is talk of a lack of affordable gas!
